This talk first goes over at a high level how the runtimes of both Tokio and NGINX work and how they differ (essentially an overview of work-stealing and shared-nothing, much to Hacker News' dismay). It then launches into how these runtime differences can lead to massive changes in real-world performance. Some of these changes will be directly do to Tokio itself, but many of them will be because Tokio allows us to do something interesting and new architecturally which is faster. Along the way,
